IGANGA HOSTS INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Iganga district has been honoured with the opportunity of hosting the International day of Persons with Disabilities.

The day, is slated for tomorrow 3rd December at Iganga Municipal Council Primary school under the theme, ” PROMOTING DISABILITY INCLUSIVE PROGRAMMING FOR ACCESSIBLE FUTURE”.

The day has been observed under the auspices of the United Nations since 1992. Second Deputy Prime Minister Ali Kirunda Kivejinja is expected to preside as chief guest.

The LC5 Chairperson Patrick Kayemba is happy with Iganga playing host. "This shows that at the national level, our colleagues put value in us, otherwise such a day would have been taken to another district. He has implored all people to turn up and show that they care for people with disabilities.
